Special presentation – Patsy Urbanovsky
Prior to the start of the meeting, Patsy gave a presentation on here play this summer of Father McGivney and the creations of the Knights of Columbus brotherhood.  She gave a high overview of what will be in it.  She was amazed on what she found out about it.
Call to order – Inside Guard see to the door - All knights present are at least members in the 1st degree
Prayer- Was delivered by Msgr. Huber

Non-Officer members: Mike Clements, John Hetcko, Robert Kluge, Doug Rienks, Timothy Steward, Don Urbanovsky, Andrew Vinton
 
Chaplain report- Msgr Huber gave thanks for Christmas party, update on sick parishioners in need of prayers.  Gave a summary of the outcome of the One Rose One Life campaign. Gave a brief history on Martin Luther King prior to his assignation in 1963. Informed us of upcoming church events.
Secretary’s report – Minutes approved as sent out
Grand Knight report-  Received request from Lincoln Right to Life for a donation, discussion on this was conducted, but nothing was done.  Attended the district meeting, items from the meeting are:
.  Building and funding of a Women’s Care Center.
.  There is a new K of C degree 1-3 ceremony being rolled out Feb 1st.
.  Annual Clergy dinner Jan 31.
.  Gave explanation of Pocket tokens given out at Christmas party.
 
Financial Secretary’s report – Jody K is receiving dues from several members.  The per capita report and culture of life needs to be created.  Received the tootsie roll money. The annual survey is being worked on. 
Treasurer’s report- Tim A. we are in good standing with the budget.
Director Reports – William Jeffery

  • Faith Director– Don U.  Christmas cards sent to retired priests.  Reported on the nativity recognition project.  Talked about recognizing the charter members of our council.
    • Building and Maintenance – Kevin C. still need snow removal volunteers
    • Fireworks – Tim S.  talked about the transition of duties from John H.
  • Vocations Director – Gary G. 1st 2nd & 3rd degrees done with new procedure, wives & family can attend now.
    • 4th degree will be done on March 22.
  • Community/Youth Director – Todd H. Godteens doing a new event “Board Buster fun day”.  Talked about putting on a personal finance class.  Talked about being aware of the violence in churches.
  • Life Director – Wayne R.  thanks for the walk for life volunt

Family Director – Andy Vtalked about Faith in Action items on Supreme website. 

  • Food Net – John HGave report on numbers of volunteer hours and number of attendees. Gave his target retirement date from Food Net.

 
Membership – Greg S.

  • Quota is 7 new members, received 1 new member request.
  • Letters sent to 104 Parish men to explain K of C.
  • Transfer – Gary Schleppenbach
  • First degree date

 
Retention – William J. mentioned the red shirt on donut Sunday.
 
Public Relations – Doug R wanted pictures from the installation of officers. 
 
Unfinished Business-

  • Organ update  - Council match donations, motion was carried to pay matched donations
  • Schoenstatt Garage/Bath Project on hold until weather permits
  • KoC Gifts – One Baptism gift was given
  • Blessing Bags

New Business-

  • April Meeting – date may change.
  • Talked about Patsy’s play, tabled until next meeting.
